VoIP.co.uk acquires German firm to continue European expansion

UK telecommunications company, VoIP.co.uk, announces the acquisition of German telecommunications specialist, Teleforte, which will provide the growing firm with access to customers in Germany, Poland and Spain where Teleforte has branches.

Teleforte operates in the traditional telecoms space selling international number services to major clients such as German airline, Lufthansa.

Earlier in 2013, VoIP.co.uk acquired leading Danish unified communications specialist, Firstcom, in a technology driven move which plans to use the company’s flagship UC product to access major European markets.

Adam Crisp, Managing Director of VoIP.co.uk, said: “The acquisition of Teleforte completes our service offering in the traditional telecoms space and is part of the strategy to ensure our UC product has the best route to market.   We now have offices in the UK, Denmark, Germany, Poland and Spain, providing a fantastic platform to strengthen our presence throughout Europe.”

Headquartered in Oxfordshire, VoIP.co.uk provides Voice over IP cloud based services and is most known for its superior SIP Encrypt product, which prevents phone hacking and is compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security standards.

VoIP.co.uk is planning to launch Firstcom’s flagship mobile-enabled unified communications platform, “Universe” during 2015, providing plenty of opportunities for VoIP.co.uk’s existing and new channel partners.  The product will also be rolled-out across Europe.

Adam Crisp continues: “Many of the features offered by Universe will be completely new for the majority of customers in Europe.   It will offer new ways to use, divert and integrate telephony and is completely customer-centric.  We know there is a demand for this solution and expect to see strong growth in our emerging markets.”

VoIP.co.uk will also be offering SIP Encrypt and international numbering as part of its unified communications suite next year.

Stephan Nerb, CEO of Teleforte said: “We see huge potential for Voip.co.uk and Firstcom’s SIP Encrypt and hosted UC solutions across our markets and are looking forward to entering a new era for Teleforte.  The acquisition will ensure our customers receive a technically superior voice solution.”
